Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct the formulation and implementation of the agency’s information and communication technology plan;
- Organize and control resources to provide efficient and effective information and communication technology services;
- Direct the development of the agency information/database and other information as required;
- Manage databases for information/monitoring and reporting, management decision-making, research and other purposes
- Review, update and recommend computerization proposals;
- Plan and direct the implementation of the agency’s databases and website;
- Formulate policies on computerized systems designs and standards to effectively meet the objectives of computerization;
- Ensure that the agency’s connection to the DA-INTRANET is uninterrupted and secured at all times;
- Formulate policies on information and communication technology resources acquisition, operation and maintenance of operational computerized systems and users training;
- Formulate and direct implementation of plans and standards to improve network and facilities management and maintenance;
- Coordinate with users of information and communication technology and data management services in the organization in order to provide support for the improvement of organizational activities and better utilization of information and communication technology resources;
- Recommend training programs for users and operating personnel on network use, database access, intranet and use of developed computerized systems/acquired application packages;
- Supervise the administrative functions of the group, including planning, budgeting, purchasing, training, etc.;
- Represent the agency in the DA-INTRANET policy making, standards identification and information systems strategy formulation and implementation;
- Perform other related functions.
