Duties & Responsibilities:
- Recommend/apply software development principles, methods and tools in implementing Information System Applications;
- Identify criteria for deciding between acquisition of software packages and custom development of software;
- Customize a general purpose software package to provide specific functionality beyond the default settings;
- Lead system's design and development for web applications;
- Configure software appropriately for system and user application;
- Analyze/Identify abnormal management information system performance/problems and recommend solutions;
- Update, modify and maintain existing computer program;
- Perform implementation or changeover to new computerized system;
- Evaluate emergency technologies and potential effects on information system software;
- Recognize system alerts, security problems, environmental problems and implement recovery procedures needed;
- Develop detailed training, conversion and installation plan for developed information system applications;
- Create/maintain a basic internet programming document;
- Develop and update agency's websites;
- Design and develop websites information system databases and web applications;
- Perform other related functions.
