Department Manager A

 
  • Direct the formulation and development of short and long-range plans, programs and policies relating to the operation and maintenance of the dams and their appurtenant structures as well as irrigation systems including their rehabilitation and constructions projects;
  • Direct and coordinate the following:
    1. Conduct of inventory of water resources and control and distribution of available water;
    2. Operations, maintenance, repair and improvement of irrigation systems, installation/pull out of irrigation pumps formation of irrigators association and cooperatives; research on improvement or irrigation services, increase cropping intensity and increase production per unit and the training of irrigators in areas served by all the irrigation system;
    3. Utilization, movement, preventive maintenance and repair of equipment;
    4. Administrative and financial activities including the provision on necessary services relative to legal matter, farmers/irrigators training, information dissemination, procurement and property and other related activities;
    5. Preparation of consolidated periodic reports on the operation and maintenance activities;
  • Establish linkages with other government agencies involved and interested in irrigation development, submit and discuss reports for the information of both government and private sectors;
  • Control expenditures of funds, utilization of supplies and materials; and
  • Perform other related functions.
