Duties & Responsibilities: 
  1. Formulate, update and recommend policy directions and guidelines on equipment acquisition and utilization, lease and disposal of equipment, tools and spare parts including preparation of equipment O&M Manual, staff development and feedback mechanism on implementation thereof;
  2. Plan and coordinate the conduct of inspection and evaluation of equipment for acquisition, repair and disposal;
  3. Provide technical assistance to field offices relative to the acquisition, technical inspection, rehabilitation, and repair of equipment and the operation and maintenance of light and heavy equipment and service vehicles;
  4. Plan and coordinate all activities relative to the maintenance, repair and disposal of construction equipment;
  5. Direct the preparation of technical specifications and cost estimates of equipment and tools for procurement;
  6. Review and analyze periodic reports covering equipment performance submitted by regional and project offices for appropriate action;
  7. Maintain and update Equipment Management Information System (EMIS);
  8. Perform other related functions.
