The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) remains steadfast in its commitment to provide efficient, transparent, and responsive public service to our stakeholders, particularly the Filipino farmers who rely on sustainable irrigation systems for their livelihood and for the country’s food security.
This Citizen’s Charter serves as a guide to the services offered by NIA, outlining clear procedures, requirements, timelines, and responsible offices for every transaction. In accordance with the provisions of the Republic Act No. 11032, or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018, this Charter reinforces our dedication to improving service delivery, promoting accountability, and ensuring that every client is served with professionalism and integrity.
As the government agency mandated to develop, operate, and maintain irrigation systems, NIA continues to strengthen its programs and strategies to support agricultural productivity. These include effective irrigation management, strengthened partnerships with Irrigators Associations (IAs), and sustainable infrastructure development. Through active collaboration with stakeholders, NIA aims to enhance the welfare of farming communities and contribute to national food security.
The NIA Citizen’s Charter reflects our continuing efforts to uphold the principles of good governance, reengineer processes, and make government services more accessible to the public. NIA remains committed to the ease of doing business within the agency while upholding transparency, integrity, and service excellence in fulfilling its mandate and strengthening public trust and confidence.
