Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct and supervise the activities of the section in the evaluation of design data and review of detailed designs and construction drawings;
- Evaluate formulated alternative design schemes and interact with other divisions and department chiefs regarding final scheme to be adopted for final design;
- Review designs, conceptual drawings, consideration and criteria used in specific project submitted by Region/Project Offices and prepare comments and recommendations;
- Conduct field inspection as may be necessary to facilitate design of proposed diversion dam, embankment dam, and irrigation and drainage facilities and/or recommend for approval, remedial measures for rehabilitation of existing structures found to be effective during the inspection;
- Perform other related functions.
