Undertake on-farm and in-laboratory experiments on irrigation and drainage commodity with emphasis on performance and adaptability testing and characterization of irrigation and drainage structures, facilities and equipment;
Compose instructional and informational pamphlets on the formulation, development and operations of irrigation and drainage systems like rainfall probability analysis, system water duty derivation and cropping pattern development;
Carryout specialized training cum research programs with substantial operations appraisals designed to develop consultant-grade competency in irrigation and drainage system management, operation and troubleshooting;
Package strategy and intervention proposals for the envisaged strengthening of the diagnostic skills and tools in the Agency in determining causal factors in incidences of suboptimal performance of irrigation and drainage systems;
Develop activity and program methodologies like on irrigation water allocation, project impact assessment, irrigation stewardship transfer, irrigators association organization and irrigation system modernization, for compilation into manuals;
