Principal Engineer A

  • Direct and coordinate the technical and administrative functions of the section;
  • Plan, direct, and supervise the review of studies and reports on land resources, agricultural and hydrologic studies, and groundwater investigations to determine the technical viability/feasibility of all irrigation projects;
  • Plan and coordinate the establishment, operation, and maintenance of surface and groundwater monitoring stations for long- and short-term hydrologic and meteorologic data and hydrologic data collection.
  • Direct the review of studies on surface and groundwater resources to assess their occurrence, availability, quality, and dependability for irrigation development and other uses;
  • Direct the review of studies to determine hydrologic parameters necessary in the design of project facilities;
  • Direct/review the evaluation of Terms of Reference (TOR), Program of Work (POW), Inception Reports, VE/VA Reports, Progress Reports, Interim Reports, and Feasibility Study Reports (Draft and Final), prepared through outsourcing of proposed irrigation projects specifically on the Soil & Land Classification, Agriculture, Surface Water Hydrology, and Groundwater Hydrology aspects;
  • Direct/review the conduct of technical assistance to proponents (RIO/IMO/LGUs), particularly for soil & land classification, agriculture, surface water hydrology, and groundwater hydrology aspects; and
  • Perform other related functions, meetings, and seminars.
